Mind Yourself


Now we all know why it’s important to eat well, exercise and take in water regularly for our body, but we tend to overlook is that eating better not only fuels the body but also the mind.

This thing that’s inside our head needs this as much looking after as all the organs in our body. So in case you wonder why should I eat more healthy, well do it as much for your brain as much as your body.

So now you are thinking what foods help me to do this. Well something that’s probably top of this list is any type of oily fish which is packed with Omega – 3’s in the form of EPA and DHA, it just helps the brain to operate better.

I have mentioned nuts and seeds many times in this blog and these are also great brain food, I will leave it up to you find ones that you like adding into your food, barring of course anyone who has a sensitivity to nuts. Walnuts, Hazelnuts, Pumpkin Seeds or Sunflower Seeds, I think you can see where to go. There are far too many to mention here.

Things like Blueberries, Blackberries, Broccoli and Eggs are also on the menu for keeping ones brain healthy and working to it’s peak efficiency.

I have concentrated a lot in this blog on ones physical health but any of these foods mentioned above and more are also a great help for your good mental health also.
The mind will also benefit from just making sure that you drink enough water, it’s life giving and that goes as much for the brain as for the body.
